The 6th day of the super 12 stage saw some breathtaking cricket as it provided moments to remember in the 3 matches in a single day.

India easily got the better of the Netherlands in the 2nd match of the day whereas the cricketing world witnessed an absolute classic nail bitter between Zimbabwe and Pakistan where Zimbabwe registered a famous 1-run victory.

India after winning the toss elected to bat first and had a slow start to their inning as KL Rahul registered yet another failure. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli put up a 73-run partnership for the 2nd wicket and drove the inning back on track.

Rohit after reaching his half-century was dismissed for 53 runs. Virat then shifted gears and reached his 2nd half-century of the tournament. Suryakumar Yadav took no time in playing his shots as he smashed boundaries all around the park.

He also scored a half-century as both batters took the team total to 179/2 in their 20 overs. Chasing the target, the Netherlands look far away from their track as Indian bowlers kept things tight for the batters.

They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and fell 56 runs short as they managed to score 123/9 in their 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav for his effective innings was adjudged as player of the match.

Zimbabwe elected to bat first against Pakistan after winning the toss and were not up to the mark with the bat. They had little partnerships in between but kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Pakistan were remarkable with the ball as Mohammad Wasim jr and Shadab Khan made things even worse for the opponents with their wicket-taking approach. Zimbabwe somehow managed to score 130/8 in their 20 overs with Wasim getting 4 wickets and Shadab took 3 wickets.

Chasing the target, Pakistan once again started taking pressure on themselves as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan departed cheaply. Shan Masood was standing tall at one end but was running out of partners.

Zimbabwe showed brilliant courage and kept bowling with immense patience and discipline as Sikandar Raza along with pace bowlers made it tough for the batters to settle. The run rate got much slower which created extra pressure on the Pakistan batters as wickets started tumbling at a crucial juncture.

Mohammad Nawaz at a moment looked well settled to finish the game and with 11 runs needed off the last over the game looked evenly poised. Pakistan easily got 8 runs in the first three balls with 3 needed off the 3 balls where the game shifted towards Zimbabwe as Nawaz was beaten on the 4th ball and was dismissed on the 5th ball.

Pakistan then needed 3 runs on the last ball to win and 2 runs to take it to the super over. Shaheen Afridi played the shot down the ground and tried his best to take 2 runs but was short of his ground as the wicketkeeper after a little fumble took the bails off.

Zimbabwe clinched a thrilling 1-run victory that will be remembered for a long long time. On the other hand, Pakistan's chances after the 2nd consecutive defeat to make it to the last four look vulnerable. Sikandar Raza who took 3 wickets for 25 runs was adjudged as player of the match for his match-winning performance.
