NEW DELHI: Tilak Varma belted a massive six off the returning Anrich Nortje that had the Cuttack crowd roaring during the first T20I between India and South Africa.
After India lost a couple of early wickets, Varma showed no intention of slowing down. The left-handed batter waited patiently, then unleashed a perfect pull over deep square leg, sending the ball soaring an 89 meters out of the stadium in spectacular fashion.

Tilak struggle depsite the six in Cuttack
However, the fireworks did not last. Coming in at number four, Tilak Varma struggled to maintain momentum and managed only 26 runs off 32 balls. His innings included two fours and the towering six, but a strike rate of just 81 reflected a lack of fluency. Eventually, he fell to Lungi Ngidi, leaving India needing others to stabilise the innings.
