5. Jack Gregory - 67 balls

Jack Gregory played for Australia from 1920 to 1928. Australia was playing a match against South Africa in November 1921. Gregory scored 67-ball century in the first innings for Australia. He played an excellent knock of 119 runs.

Australia scored 450 runs in the first innings. This match ended in a draw. Jack Gregory’s name stands in fifth place in terms of scoring the fastest century in test cricket.

4. Vivian Richards - 58 balls

In April 1986, Vivian Richards scored his fastest century against England in 58 balls. He scored 110 runs in the second innings for West Indies. He smashed 7 fours and 7 sixes in his innings. West Indies won that match by a huge margin of 240 runs.

He is considered as one of the most explosive batsmen in cricket history and his name stands in fourth place in terms of scoring the fastest century in test cricket.
