Pakistan will host New Zealand for Two tests, 8 ODIs and 5 T20Is

New Zealand is all set to tour Pakistan twice in the space of five months. They will play Two tests, eight ODIs and five T20Is. The first leg of the tour will start in December and the second leg will start in April next year.

New Zealand will play two tests in December which are part of the ICC World Test Championship. The first test will start on December 27 in Karachi and the second test will start on January 4 in Multan.

The two teams will play three ODIs in Karachi on January 11,13 and 15. The ODI series is also part of the ICC Super League. New Zealand will return to Pakistan for the second leg in April to play 5 T20Is and 5 ODIs, which are not part of the ICC ODI super league.

Karachi will host the first four T20I matches of the series on April 13, 15, 16 and 19, Lahore will host the last T20I on April 13 and will also host the first two ODI matches of the series on April 26 and 28. The final three ODI matches will be played in Rawalpindi on May 1, 4 and 7.

The first leg of the tour is a part of the ICC Future Tour Programme which is confirmed by PCB but the second leg in April - May next year is scheduled to make up for the abandoned white ball tour in September 2021.

"New Zealand is one of the high-performing sides and the more we play against the top teams in our backyard, the better we will get as a unit, which is crucial to our objective of featuring inside the top three across all formats. Three Tests against England and two Tests versus New Zealand over six weeks will give us a chance to strengthen our claims for a place in the ICC World Test Championship final. The eight ODIs will help us to prepare for September's Asia Cup and October's 50 over ICC Men's Cricket World Cup". - Zakir Khan, PCB Director
