England have taken the lead in the series as they beat Pakistan by 63 runs in the 3rd T2OI. The hosts had no answers to the brilliance of England in all departments.

Pakistan elected to bowl first after winning the toss and started well with the ball as they got the wicket in just the 2nd over of the inning. England maintained their brilliant run rate as they scored 60 runs in the powerplay before Dawid Malan was dismissed in the 7th over.

Will Jacks was looking good as he was smashing boundaries one after another. He was dismissed for brilliant 40 runs which he scored in just 22 balls by Usman Qadir in the 9th over.

Ben Duckett and Harry Brook then put up a masterclass unbeaten partnership of 139 runs for the 4th wicket. Both scored their half-centuries and remained unbeaten on 70 runs off 42 balls and 81 runs off 35 balls respectively and took the team total to 221/3 in their 20 overs.

Usman Qadir took 2 wickets in his four overs with Mohammad Hasnain getting a single wicket for Pakistan.

Chasing the target, Pakistan never looked settled with the bat as they lost 4 wickets inside the powerplay. The top and middle order failed to show any resistance to the pace of Mark Wood and variations of Reece Topley.

Shan Masood looked totally different from the other batters as he was scoring runs quite easily at the other end. Masood managed to score a half-century with wickets tumbling regularly at the other end.

Khushdil Shah also tried his hand and contributed with 29 runs before he was dismissed in the 12th over by Adil Rashid. Pakistan managed to score 158/8 in their 20 overs as they fell 63 runs short with Masood remaining unbeaten on 66 runs.

Mark Wood was exceptional with the ball as he took 3 wickets with Rashid getting 2 wickets. They both were well supported by Topley and Sam Curran as they both found a single wicket each.

Harry Brook who played a remarkable inning of 81 runs in just 35 balls was adjudged as player of the match.

The visitors have taken a 2-1 lead in the 7-match T2OI series with the next match to be played on Sunday in Karachi where England will look to extend their lead and Pakistan will try to level the series.
