There was a time when fielding wasn't given much importance in the game of cricket as compared to batting or bowling. However, the trend changed, and the thinking of cricketers evolved with time. They nowadays are seen focusing on fielding also and try their best to contribute as much as possible.

The South African veteran fielder Johnty Rhodes is considered as an idol who set a benchmark of fielding during his playing days. Cricketers are seen taking brilliant catches and running the players out with their sharp fielding. We've seen some breathtaking runouts in the IPL also.

5. SURESH RAINA - 16

Suresh Raina has been one of the most valuable players in IPL history. Along with his consistency with the bat, he has also contributed with his quickness in the field. He was a part of Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Lions between 2008 to 2021. Raina stands 5th on the list with 16 run-outs to his name in 205 IPL matches.

He remained unsold in IPL 2022 auction and was seen commentating during the tournament. However, the left-hander has put up an exhibition of runs in this league. Raina has 39 half-centuries and a century to his name and has scored 5528 runs with an average of 32.52 in 205 IPL career matches. He is also the 5th player to score the most runs in IPL history. 

4. MANISH PANDEY - 16

Manish Pandey stands 4th in the list of most run-outs in IPL. He has 16 runouts to his name in 160 IPL matches. Manish is considered as one of the top fielders in the history of this league. His fitness always looks up to the mark and his Yo-Yo Test results are more perfect even that of Virat Kohli. 

Manish has been part of Mumbai Indians, RCB, Pune Warriors, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL over the years. He is playing for Lucknow Super Giants at the moment. The U-19 WC winner has a great chance of doing more run-outs in the IPL. Manish has scored 3648 runs with the help of 21 half-centuries and a century at an average of 29.90 in 160 IPL career matches. 

3. VIRAT KOHLI - 19

RCB's Virat Kohli stands third in the list of most run-outs in IPL history. He has been playing for RCB since 2008 and has 19 runouts to his name in 223 matches. He has amazing fitness and he is never shy about showing his brilliance in the field. Virat has also taken some amazing catches in this famous league and is always seen saving runs for his team with his sharp fielding.

The former Indian captain tops the list of scoring the most runs in IPL history. He has scored 6624 runs with the help of 44 half-centuries and 5 centuries at an impressive average of 36.20 in his IPL career. 

2. MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI - 21

Mahendra Singh Dhoni's name in this list might surprise many but he is the player with the second most run-outs in IPL history. Even though Dhoni is a wicket-keeper, he gets many chances to run the players out while keeping. 

MSD is sometimes seen keeping without gloves during the death overs in the match which allows him to create the run-out chances. He has 21 run-outs to his name in 234 IPL career matches and also holds the record for 39 stumpings in the league. Dhoni has scored 4978 runs with the help of 24 half-centuries and at an amazing average of 39.20 in his IPL career. 

1. RAVINDRA JADEJA - 23

Ravindra Jadeja holds the record for doing the most run-outs in IPL history. This great all-rounder along with bat and ball always contributes with his sharp fielding also. He has 23 run-outs to his name in 210 IPL matches. Jadeja is considered as the best fielder in IPL history and has successfully dismissed the opponent batsmen 23 times through his exceptional fielding.

He has taken 132 wickets at an economy rate of 7.61 in 210 IPL matches and has scored 2502 with the help of 2 half-centuries at an average of 26.62 in his IPL career.
